Keep Calm and Row On

As I was shooting Brigantine yesterday, I came around this bend in the road on the bayside of Brigantine and spotted a group of kids next to a boathouse. They all appeared to be preparing for something. I stopped and met with the coaches and asked permission to take some photos.
As It turned out it was the Holy Spirit Girls Rowing Team preparing for a race in Delaware.
Their clubhouse took in several feet of water from Sandy and the first sign of it was the lower sheetrock that was removed and damaged vinyl siding. What I witnessed was the kids were moving forward as if Sandy never happened. Browsing through their photos of Sandy, they all came together and got their club house back in order. That is a true Team Spirit.
It was a great sight to see these kids having normalcy in their lives after such a powerful storm had hit the Jersey Coast.
