With wind chills reaching sub-zero degrees, I ventured to the Paterson Great Falls in Paterson, NJ in hopes to capture the Falls iced over . For the most part they were. I started off just before sunrise shooting the Generation Plant then made my way to the top of the Falls on the north side to capture the sunrise. While there I shot some of the surrounding area including the dam. Once the sun was up I needed to wait for it to come around and line up with the center of the valley. The shoot lasted a little over 4 hours but was a great experience. I hope to come back in the Spring after the winter snow begins to melt there will be a much more active Falls and a larger volume of water coming over them.
