Special Announcement from Producer, Author/Historian Emil Salvini:
Tales of the Jersey Shore highlights the historical relevance and family friendly side of the NJ's shore cities. The show is raising money for season two on NJTV.
The television program “Tales of the Jersey Shore” has been asked to return for a six episode second season on NJTV. To meet this demand my small crew and I are running a Kickstarter campaign to raise the necessary funds and continue to bring quality programming to public television.
Tales, which began as a grassroots blog and Facebook group in 2010 and has since grown to over 45,000 followers, was started by Historian and Author Emil Salvini as way of more accurately reflecting NJ’s beauty and spirit than its television counterparts that played on harmful State stereotypes. The show prides itself on highlighting the historical relevance and family friendly side of the shore while promoting local tourism and educating it’s audience on the important role New Jersey has played from it’s earliest days to today.
The campaign aims to raise $60,000, a fraction of the cost it would take a traditional high definition show to produce a season. With this campaign you have the peace of mind knowing you are giving directly to the continued production of this popular NJTV show and not to general public television costs.
In season two we are looking forward to exploring topics like the history of NJ's influential music scene, Maritime lighthouses and diving bells, classic amusement parks from years past and more. As always our goal is to educate and entertain at the same time.
We pride ourselves in offering multiple perspectives and a variety of expert interviews in each show to make sure we are doing episode topics justice and telling a complete story.
