Yesterday, I spoke to Dave Patnaude, the president of the New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club and one of driving forces behind last weekend's Festival of Speed in Atlantic City, and he was euphoric. After months of planning, the three-day event came off, by all accounts—particularly those of journalist Tony Esposito who was there to cover it for speedonthewater.com—without a hitch and earned raves from everyone involved.
