With last weekend’s Offshore Powerboat Association 2017 National Championships at the Lake Hopatcong Grand Prix in New Jersey in the books, competitors across all OPA classes are looking ahead to the organization’s World Championships in November. But there’s still plenty to savor from yesterday’s action, which saw 44 boats in the fleet.
The Super Vee, Super Vee Light, Classes 1-7 and Extreme took to the track during five races yesterday, which gave everyone a chance at a fairly open course. Dead flat waters and tight turns resulted in some very close racing.
