Since taking care of the first responders on Barnegat Bay Island after Superstorm Sandy, this group of volunteers and Chef Mike Jurusz, Cliff Baker, Christine Hernandez, Michelle Jones and the support of their donors have continued their efforts feeding those that need a meal.
This is the 6th Annual event of providing 700+ Thanksgiving Dinners made, packaged and delivered to those in need.
Sharkey-Images had the opportunity this year to capture the behind the scenes of what it takes to make 13 dinners per minute.
Of course it goes without saying that a lot of prep work is done prior to the morning of Thanksgiving, but it is still quite a task to make the dinners and get them shipped out in under 3 hours from the time the volunteers arrive.
This video will walk you through on how they do it from the volunteers's instructions to the execution of those instructions.
